Book & eBook Review – Temptations 1

Review by Jared Dean

Temptations 1 contains 7 short stories with something to appeal to most fans of well written erotica.

Whether your fantasy house-hunt is something like the one described by Elizabeth Cage in Bliss, or the daydream fantasies of Cyanne, there is something to make your blood run warmer.

The stories are all well written, with good characterisation, such as the repulsive teacher described in Kitti Bernetti’s ‘The School Reunion’ where the once ugly duckling has become a Swan and uses her feminine wiles to seduce, and then humiliate her former teacher. There is the taboo busting Confession by Kristina Wright, where a girlfriend services her boyfriend’s own father, or in the Window Cleaner’s boy, where all eyes are on the young man who cleans the office’s windows, but the narrator in Carmel Lockyer’s story only has eyes for his older, but clearly virile colleague.

In Confidante, Beverly Langland’s characters are looking for a new Slave and a Master, and the story tells of their auditioning each other, whilst in the collection’s closing story Two’s Company, Georgia Brown describes how the fantasy may not be everything that the man in the relationship wants or needs.

There is heat of all types in this collection, with none of the stories outstanding their welcome, or boring the audience. Hunt it down, it may make you think, as well as making you feel slightly warm.

Temptations is available as a book and ebook for Xcite Books
