eBook Review: Spirit Lovers by Various

Spirit Lovers is a collection of five erotic short stories based around the supernatural. The first, The Incubus Candle by Fulani is my favourite. Without giving two much away, Lauren inadvertently summons a couple of incubi, who are there to see to her every sexual need. And they certainly do that… I found this the most erotic of the stories due to the whole two-men-one-woman thing, and because the writing was so sensual. A great start to the anthology. The Greed Jar is a contemporary story, but with a touch of the ancient myth about it. The protagonist, Alice, collects unusual items for a living. She’s finally tracked down something she’s been looking for for a while – The Greed Jar. That’s not a bad thing, the story fits well into its word count, any shorter and it’d have felt rushed, any longer and potentially it would have felt too padded out. The story is action packed from beginning to end.

Author Interview with Sharazade

Author Interview with Sharazade

Q. What was your childhood ambition?

To be a lawyer. That was my dream from about age 4, until one day, as a junior in college, I suddenly awoke and said, “I must major in French literature.” And did.

Q. What ambitions do you still have?

I think I have desires rather than ambitions. There are still a lot of countries I’d like to visit. I want to take a trapeze class. I’d like to learn another foreign language. But if those things don’t happen, I won’t feel cheated or disappointed. In terms of my career and personal life, I feel satisfied with where I am. That’s not the same as feeling “finished” or complacent, of course. Continue reading
