What was your childhood ambition?
I first wanted to be a cartoonist for Warner Bros., then a DJ for KJR Seattle like my idol Pat O’Day, then a songwriter like Bob Dylan, and a storyteller like Mark Twain. There’s still time, isn’t there?

What ambitions do you still have?
Write and publish a few books of course, then set up a publishing house that
highlights new writers, like Dave Eggers wonderful work with McSweeneys and The Believer. Continue reading

I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was six years old.

Q. What ambitions do you still have?

I still want to be a writer, and with over one hundred publications I supposed I’ve succeeded, but I’ve refined my goal. I want to change the world one dirty story at a time. And I do believe more stories that explore the power and pleasure of sexuality will make a difference! Continue reading
